Museum of Space
and Place
Imagining a museum at the intersection
of pop culture and outer space
Context
Humans have always been drawn to the cosmos, a fixation that can be observed not only through historical events, but in paintings, writings, music, television, and beyond. This museum explores ideas about outer space in the collective imagination, tracing human interest in the stars through the lens of history and popular culture. Bold primary colors and simple geometric shapes reference the excitement of the early space age, when the dream of space exploration first became a reality.
Conceptual work created for Shillington Education in New York.
